OMRI Board Welcomes New Member

(December 15, 2023) OMRI (the Organic Material Review Institute) welcomes Keith Jones of the Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA), as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors.

Keith Jones

Keith currently serves as Executive Director of BPIA. Previously, he was Executive Director of a land trust focused on watershed protection and environmental education. He has served as general counsel to several organizations, including a national environmental trade association and one of the largest public water utility companies in the United States. Keith has published several articles in various academic journals and speaks regularly around the world on a variety of topics. He holds a BA in Communications from Rider University, a J.D. from the Temple University School of Law, and an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.

Keith joins a dedicated group of stakeholders from around the organic industry in this important role of leading OMRI’s strategic direction. His expertise and skills are most welcomed. OMRI also has an opening for a new Public Interest representative to join the board, and interested members of nonprofit and academic institutions are encouraged to visit OMRI.org for more information and a link to a Google form to apply.

Founded in 1997 by organic certifiers and stakeholders, OMRI provides an independent review of input products to determine which inputs are allowed for organic use. Over the past two decades, the organization has grown to over 10,000 OMRI Listed® products, reviewed to the U.S. National Organic Program standards and the Canada Organic Regime standards.
